Welcome to The Summer Isles Hotel
Our website is currently undergoing a “makeover” but our hotel, bar & resturant are open as usual.
The Summer Isles Hotel is renowned as an oasis of civilisation tucked away in the ruggedly beautiful, wild and untouched landscape of the Western Scottish Highlands. The hotel has become a favourite destination for food lovers, outdoor adventurers and for those looking for peace, tranquillity and fresh air.
Our guests come here to embrace the beautiful wilderness of the surrounding islands and mountains. We have the Gulf Stream at the foot of the croft, but the weather can be anything from Arctic to Aegean inside a week.
It’s best to be prepared, so may we suggest some (or all) of the following – sunglasses, cameras, paint boxes, binoculars, midge cream, thermos flasks and comfortable old clothes; bring your bicycles or even kayaks if you have them. Pack your anorak for walking and your glad-rags for dinner!
The hotel has twelve bedrooms which range from “cosy doubles” to “generous suites”. All are comfortable and eight have spectacular views of the Summer Isles. Please click the “book online” button to see photos of each bedroom.

The Summer Isles Restaurant offers all guests a fine dining experience.
For many, the highlight of a visit to the hotel is dinner in the Summer Isles Restaurant. Konrad Macherzyński and his team combine the finest local produce to create dishes that “wow” our guests. These are offered through a table d’hote choice menu which changes every four to five days.
The hotel has sourced wine from Corney & Barrow for over 25 years. As a result, our cellar contains many fine and increasingly rare wines together with a carefully selected set of house wines.
If you haven’t booked a room at the hotel and you would simply like to visit for dinner, please call to reserve a table.
The Summer Isles Bar was built as a Wester Ross crofters’ pub
The bar has been redecorated for the 2018 season and is now bright and fresh whilst retaining considerable character. The dining area has seating for 20 diners with fine views out towards the Summer Isles and there is a nearby beer garden for use when the sun shines and the midges are absent!
The bar is renowned for serving fresh, wholesome food in a relaxed pub atmosphere. The is a lunch menu and a dinner menu which are both available every day.
