Our restaurant is elegantly decorated and located in the main building of the hotel. We offer a menu with a strong bias upon the glorious seafood that is caught in the waters between the hotel and the Summer Isles. Our style is simple food with dishes that are full of flavour and cooked really well. The menu follows the season with local produce used wherever possible. Most guests like to start the evening with pre-dinner drinks in our lounge bar, situated opposite the restaurant.
Our bar is located at the side of the hotel. It is full of bustling character and popular with guests and our friends in the local community. The atmosphere is cosy and relaxed, with natural wooden dining tables, thick stone walls and warm red walls. It is not uncommon to meet one of the local fishermen whose langoustines or lobster you are eating at that very moment!
In 2022, Tomas Arrojo Sotillo moves from Sous Chef to Head Chef at the hotel. This is great news and very well deserved. Tomas has wasted no time in creating new sample menus for the coming season which can be viewed by clicking on the “Sample Menus” button. Life will be a little simpler in 2022 with a single dinner menu across the whole hotel – whether eating in the restaurant or the bar. There will be no dilution in the quality, freshness and local focus of our produce but you may detect a Spanish twist in some of the dishes! There will be a separate lunch menu – served in the bar.
Our wines are supplied by some of the oldest and most versatile wine merchants in the UK. We pride ourselves in the quality and depth of our wine cellar that has been created over the years, especially with regard to our selection of wines that marry particularly well with seafood. Real ale is on offer and the selection of Scottish gins increases by the week!
